We are looking for someone with significant school experience to join our committed and experienced Team who has the creativity and enthusiasm needed to deliver the best outcomes for the children and young people within Central Bedfordshire. You will take a key role in supporting Vulnerable pupils at the Jigsaw Centre and help develop bespoke packages of support to meet individual needs, your role will be to support school staff with the implementation of strategies and provide ongoing support to ensure schools are providing consistent positive behavioural support of pupils with SEMH. As such you will be required to work with individual pupils on both a 1:1 and group work basis, liaise with school colleagues, other professionals from a variety of backgrounds as well as parents and carers.
You will have strengths in communication, both verbal and written, be resilient, calm, composed, flexible in approach and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in school. As such we are looking for someone who can relate well to all students and who will make a positive contribution to the team. In order for us to make you fully compliant for work you must hold a enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to obtain one along with providing 2 references to cover the last 2 years of employment.
