Head Cook - St Marys Centre for the Community (Byfleet)

Woking Borough Council is offering an exciting part-time opportunity to deliver a vital community service within the Byfleet area, available as either a permanent position or casual cover.

We are looking for an experienced cook to manage the lunch time and coffee bar service for the customers of St Marys Centre for the Community. 

This is a part-time role for 25 hours per week, 9.00am to 2.00pm, however, for the right candidate a start time of 9.30am would be considered.

You will 

  • have experience of managing team members in a similar catering role
  • possess enthusiasm for producing well-cooked and presented food, maintaining our excellent standards of food safety.

As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups the successful applicant will be required to obtain an enhanced disclosure certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Assistance will be given by the Council and further details will be in the job application pack.
