We are currently seeking a dynamic Team Manager in our Children and Young People with Disability Service to manage our 14-25 area of the service and deliver positive outcomes for children and young people within a diverse community. You will be required to take operational lead and to work collaboratively with health, education colleagues across Children and Adult Services and other partner agencies working with children and young people with disabilities and their families.
The Children and Young People with Disability Service 0-25 is collocated with MOSAIC, the integrated service for disabled children and young people who have complex developmental needs. Within this challenging role you will be responsible for supervision and line management of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, Family Practitioner(s) and Short Breaks Assessor with a focus on partnership working, preparation for adulthood, quality assessments and care planning for children and young people with severe and profound disabilities and complex health needs from ages 14 to 25 years old.

The successful candidate will be a qualified social work professional. You will have a proven record of accomplishment of successful management leadership of a social work team or other relevant management experience. You will also have evidenced working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements across the age range of 14-25 years. You will have the ability to assess need, develop, implement and manage a service plan and integrate budget planning. Ideally, demonstrate/evidence an understanding of research /knowledge in relation to Disability.
You will be able to contribute to service improvements through ideas and participating in projects as required. You will also need to be able to support customers facing crisis whilst liaising with other services to ensure wherever possible that we meet the needs of our residents.
