It’s a really exciting time to join our HR & OD team right now. With a new Assistant Director in place, and a new structure to ensure we are best placed to support business needs, we’ve a number of exciting vacancies to fill which will help us support the Council’s ambitions and aspirations.
The HR Operations team is responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding of new starters, managing contractual changes to processing leavers. The team look after all the HR systems and data provision requirements along with job evaluation, policies, pay and reward. We also provide administrative support for our learning management system and HR Intranet – the HR Hub. Support is also provided to other HR Teams by way of running reports and assisting with the administration of ER matters. The team are also the first point of contact for HR so are responsible for a number of general HR queries.
About the Role
The Recruitment Assistant will work very closely with the Resourcing Advisor to provide a vital service for the Council, implementing the practices, procedures and policy relating to resourcing and recruitment activity, as well as providing administrative support for the Resourcing Advisor as required.
This is a really exciting time to join this team as we set off on a journey to trial and evaluate different ways of attracting candidates to WBC and build a brand that reflects who we are as an employer.
This role would suit someone looking for their first role in recruitment and is interested in developing a career within this area. Ideally you'll have an interest in social media and helping candidates and managers to get the best out of the recruitment experience ensuring a first class candidate journey.
