About the role:
This role sits as part of a dedicated team within our wider top-class communications, marketing and engagement team to provide support for this range of priority programmes. Working with the communications and engagement manager, the senior communications and engagement officer will help to lead this team.
You will be responsible for supporting the communications and engagement manager (strategic programmes) in the development and coordination of communications and engagement strategies.
You will strategically advise on, deliver and evaluate effective and engaging activity to improve the understanding of local priorities and needs, using a range of channels including media and digital campaigns, internal communications, stakeholder engagement and public consultation and engagement.
You will also work closely with partners – including the district councils, the voluntary sector and user-led organisations – and with the wider communications, marketing and engagement team to ensure that activity is coordinated and complementary.
You thrive under pressure and can motivate and support others in meeting deadlines. Developing effective media and social media management strategies is part of your DNA.
