The role

In this new and exciting role, you will support the housing development team with administrative tasks relating to housing development in the Borough which will include data collating and storing, paying of invoices, assisting in updating project plans and liaising with external consultants and stakeholders to arrange appointments and meetings.

Whilst this is a junior position within the department it is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team deliver new affordable housing within the Borough for those most in need, whilst also learning about the development process for future career progression.

Main responsibilities

To provide administration support to the Assistant Director (Housing Development & Enabling) (ADHDE) and Senior Development Manager (SDM) to help officers with the regular monitoring and reviewing of progress against the Development Strategy and action plan including processing of confidential information.

To provide a full range of administrative and support services to facilitate the effective and efficient operation of the team and department.

To work with the (SDM) and the team to deliver the administration duties required to support the delivery of the Council’s Development Strategy 2022-27 are effective and robust.

To collate relevant data to assist in the production of project update reports.

To ensure the administration governance in relation to the development programme is adhere to.

The post holder will monitor the risks and issues log, track benefits and performance across projects and ensure supporting tools and templates are available to support successful delivery.

The post holder will lead on processing and paying of invoices and recording data for audit purposes.

Essential qualifications/experience-

Educated to GCSE level with a grade c or above in Maths and English

Experienced administrator

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Excellent IT skills

Ability to work unsupervised
