This is an exciting opportunity to join our Family Time Team, who have adopted a new Family Time Model for children who are looked after and who are helped to maintain positive relationships with those people important to them before they were looked after, including their parents, brothers and sisters and extended family members.
This Family Support Worker posts will sit within then Family Time Team managed by the Family Time Co-ordinator. The role will involve the supervision and support of family time, ensuring that the family time plan is child and family centred and is built upon the ethos of restorative practice and building strong and resilient relationships. You will also be responsible for direct work with children, young people and families.
The successful candidate will be someone who is innovative, creative and who has the interests of the child and family at the heart of their work. You will be someone who is committed and motivated, ensuring that children and their families are enabled to have quality time together and are helped to have enduring lifelong family relationships where possible. You will be flexible, reliable and a good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We have one temporary posts that is agreed until March 2024.
