About the role
Do you want to help the economy of East Sussex to grow sustainably?
As our East Sussex Growth Project Manager, you will be able to do just that.
You’ll take a leading role within the Major Projects and Growth team which is responsible for the management, monitoring, and delivery of specific externally led economic growth and infrastructure projects as well as responsibility for the development of our service-wide internal project pipeline programme.
The team oversee various economic growth funding programmes received via the South East Local Enterprise Partnership including: Local Growth Fund; Growing Places Fund; and Getting Building Fund. We are also responsible for delivering major transport and infrastructure improvements across East Sussex – bringing people together, helping businesses grow, and making the county a more accessible place to live and work.
The East Sussex Growth Project Manager is a new role within our Growth workstream. We are looking for someone who can help us bring economic growth projects to fruition – a collaborator, negotiator, and an effective decision-maker who has oversight of the entire project management lifecycle.
Your role will include interacting with a range of external stakeholders / partners including central Government departments, Borough and District Councils, private sector businesses and education and third sector organisations, alongside working across several internal departments. You will have responsibility for working with project sponsors on the accurate submission of their regular financial and programme monitoring claims and ensuring adherence to the funders’ requirements. You will also have responsibility for liaising with project sponsors in the coordination of new funding calls.
In this role you will join a team made up of highly organised and creative individuals, who know how to plan, collaborate, and deliver complex projects. Whilst thinking strategically we also focus on the finer details to ensure that our projects run seamlessly.
