Family Assessment Team

Edmonton Centre

Permanent/Part Time (18hrs pw)

Grade SW3

Salary £36,378 - £43,605 (pro-rata)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled practitioner with a Social Worker qualification and relevant post qualification experience, to join our small team of Social Workers and Clinical Psychologist.

Your primary role will be to undertake assessments of parental capacity to change with families with children subject to care proceedings and provide detailed reports for Court.

It is essential that you have:

  • Experience of working with children subject to child protection plans and children in care.
  • Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and related guidance, child development and major research findings with relevance to social work with children and families.
  • Proven ability to undertake complex assessments of risk and make balanced professional judgements based on evidence
  • Analitical skills
  • Report writing skills
  • Ability to work to timescales.
