The role of Adviser for the ISEND Placement Support Service (PSS) could be the job you are looking for.

ISEND Placement Support service are seeking a new Adviser to support the successful placement of children with EHCPs in their local mainstream schools.

This is an excellent career opportunity and will provide you with the chance to support practice in mainstream Primary and Secondary Schools across East Sussex.

An induction and training programme will be provided, but anyone considering this post should have passion and understanding of how to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND in school settings.

We are looking for candidates who have a strong inclusive ethos, a desire to see improved outcomes for young people, and a genuine interest in supporting staff to develop inclusive practice in their schools. Candidates should be able to;

  • Give clear, bespoke advice and recommendations to school-based staff.
  • Support school staff to embed the provision outlined in a child or young person’s EHCP.
  • Challenge current practises in a professional and constructive way when necessary.
  • Work as part of a team and work collaboratively with colleagues from other services.

The role will work Countywide and be based at County Hall, Lewes.
