About the role
We are looking for a resourceful caretaker to join our welcoming and friendly school at Iford and Kingston. Iford and Kingston is a village primary school that is quite modern.
The role of a caretaker is fundamental to our school and they are an important member of our team. We are very sorry to see our caretaker/cleaner leave us after working with us for a number of years.
The work could be carried out in the morning or the evening. The contract is for all year round. The responsibilities would include:
- Maintaining clean, safe and secure school premises, which includes buildings and grounds.
- Carrying out handy-person activities, routine maintenance and refurbishment and minor repairs.
- Maintain the general school premises, furniture and fittings and reporting any issues.
- Maintain the security of the school premises as the main key holder.
- Lock and unlock the premises as required.
- Carry out regular checks of premises equipment.
- Carry out and record health and safety checks.
We would love to welcome you to our school. All training and guidance will be provided for the successful candidate, including from the current caretaker.
This is a role with an East Sussex permanent contract which includes holiday pay and a pension.
