The Hertfordshire Public Health team commissions a wide range of services to improve the health of Hertfordshire residents including the Hertfordshire Warmer Homes Scheme. The scheme is a partnership between HCC and the ten Districts and Borough councils, aiming to identify vulnerable and fuel-poor households to provide free or discounted energy efficiency measures such as energy tariff switching, replacement boilers, first-time heating and loft insulation. These measures will reduce household energy bills and improve residents’ health and wellbeing.
Under the guidance of the Healthy Places Officer you will provide administrative support to the Healthy Places team for the day-to-day running of the scheme, dealing with customers, installers and district/borough council partners. There are no specific qualifications required for this role but previous administrative experience is desirable.
You will be capable and comfortable to be the first point of contact within the Public Health Department and have a confident telephone manner. As you will be dealing with members of the public, strong communication skills are vital, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, with good data entry skills and be able to learn to use new IT systems and equipment quickly and easily.
