About the role

School Caretaker and Vehicle Driver - Torfield and Saxon Mount Academy Trust

To work across our two schools.
Salary paid on Single Status grade 4
(£21,189 to £21,575 working pattern by arrangement and will involve a split shift for AM and PM vehicle driving.

We are successful Primary and Secondary special schools for pupils with learning difficulties including Autism. 

We require a Driver  / Caretaker to join the site manager’s team to work across both schools.  The successful candidate must be flexible and able to demonstrate a variety of building maintenance and cleaning skills and a commitment to providing a high quality environment for all of our pupils and staff, alongside the opportunity to support attendance and to enable more pupils to participate in after school clubs.

The successful candidate/s must be flexible, hold a D1 category driving licence and be an experienced and reliable driver.  Working patterns will involve a split shift arrangement to provide availability and flexibility between 7.30am to 6pm. Candidates are asked to specify their availability when applying. We offer a positive working environment, a friendly staff team and amazing pupils.
