SENIOR MANAGER - OPERATIONAL SAFEGUARDING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE

New roles within the service are emerging and we now have an exciting new opportunity as Senior Manager – Operational Safeguarding and Quality Assurance. This new role is part of the new strategic management structure and will ensure robust leadership is in place. The role will take the lead in ensuring readiness for the implementation of the new National Assurance Framework for Adult Social Care in 2023.

A new opportunity:

The successful candidate will have strategic leadership responsibility for the development, oversight and assurance in relation to Safeguarding, Quality and Care Governance across the Adult Social Care Service and the quality function of Strategic Commissioning.

You will lead and manage the development of all aspects of strategic safeguarding and quality assurance ensuring that government and departmental policies on safeguarding are effectively implemented and that Adult Social Care is compliant with its statutory duties. This post will oversee and ensure readiness for the planned oversight of Adult Social Care by the Care Quality Commission.

Delivering high level advice and guidance you will significantly influence, either directly or indirectly, trust and confidence of the community and the Council, and lead continuous improvement programmes to improve service functions and create a performance and accountability culture that drives up standards and performance ensuring that all necessary governance and quality assurance frameworks are developed and embedded.

A proven track record of extensive successful strategic leadership within a complex and constantly changing environment across health or social care is required. You can demonstrate the delivery of statutory duties working with regulators, assurance frameworks and professional bodies, and can evidence the resolution of conflicting priorities, formulating budgets, and applying rigorous monitoring and control procedures.
