About the role
Would you like to work in a team which supports individuals who have sexually harmed to desist from sexually abusive and harmful behaviours, as well as protect children from sexual harm through enhancing parents/carers’ ability to protect? SWIFT are looking to recruit an experienced professional to the role of Senior Practitioner, which would include direct work with families where there are concerns about sexual risk, as well as taking a lead role in developing practice and knowledge in the field.
As a Senior Practitioner within the team, the successful candidate would be expected to hold a caseload of more complex cases, which would include undertaking assessments and interventions with adults who pose a sexual risk and children/young people who have sexually harmed. In addition, the role would include undertaking assessments and interventions with parents/carers to improve their protective capacity. As part of the role, the successful candidate would provide casework supervision and consultancy on sexual risk cases, as well as support the development of practice within the team and for professionals in other services (e.g., social care and education).
For this post it will be important to have relevant experience in working within the field of sexual risk. The successful applicant will have knowledge of the impact of child sexual abuse on both the individual and those around them and be committed to reducing the risks of sexual abuse and enhancing family’s strengths. Applicants will need to have excellent skills in assessment, intervention and written and verbal communication. They will need to have had experience in providing evidence-based assessments, giving evidence in Court, and providing consultation and advice to other professionals.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
