About the role
Within Housing Needs & Supply you’ll be heading a service that’s either dedicated to preventing homelessness, helping people find their new home, commissioning services supporting residents on a pathway to living independently or leading one of the most ambitious new council home building programmes in the country. Each role has its unique set of challenges, but the rewards are immense.
You’ll work in a directorate that is dedicated to empowering people from different communities and backgrounds to come together, live well and thrive, supported by our city-wide work on fairness, inclusion and engagement.
We’ll need strong leaders with a passion for delivering high quality housing services that make a real difference to the local community.
You’ll have the ability to be resolute in a complex operating environment and the leadership skills to deliver transformative change to help us:
• Reduce homelessness and rough sleeping
• Improve housing across the city, including the private rented sector
• Provide genuinely affordable homes
• Develop and maintain constructive partnerships

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
