We are currently reorganising and restructuring the mental health services and have a number of Senior Practitioner positions available for Mental Health Adult Services across East Sussex.
We are Agile and work across the whole of East Sussex. The teams work with people aged eighteen and older with social care needs arising from their severe and enduring mental ill health. Decisions around assessments, support planning and safeguarding will be a major part of your work. You will act as an Enquiry Manager and will be expected to risk assess Safeguarding Concerns. You will also manage and supervise staff and will share senior cover responsibilities with other Senior Practitioners.
Ideally you will be a practising Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) in order that you can serve on the county's Mental Health Act Assessment rota. However applications from non AMPHs will be considered on the understanding that the successful candidate will be required to undertake AMPH training. In return for your commitment, you will receive excellent supervision and training within a supportive work environment. You will have core working hours but will sometimes need to work flexibly and under Agile working conditions.
