Functional Family Therapy Deputy Manager
(This position is offered as a twelve month Fixed Term Contract, which could potentially be extended).
A Functional Family Therapist Deputy Manager is required to deputise for the Head of FFT, manage the cross-borough FFT - Prevent work commissioned by the Home Office and take the lead for the screening and decision making process for referrals.
In addition, the Deputy Manager will be required to deliver FFT to 10-18 year olds and their families, where radicalisation has been identified as a risk factor. The successful candidate will have a professional background, experience and training of FFT and a proven track record of delivering highly effective work with complex families. We are looking for an individual with a genuine passion for engaging with families to support change, to find ways of dealing with challenge.
The post holder will be based within a small team in Leytonstone, which will include the Head of Functional Family Therapy and receive clinical supervision. The FFT team are located within the Early Help Division and will work with families primarily referred from a range of services within the cross-borough Local Authorities. The Team has been delivering FFT since 2014 and in 2016; we achieved our FFT site accreditation.
The post holder will be expected to travel to the designated areas and meet with families within their homes, where some evening work will be required. Weekly Team Consultations for Case Supervision will be held with the Head of FFT, and the post holder will also be expected to attend relevant meetings within Waltham Forest and the Local Authority where the family are based.

Minimum requirements for this post are:
- A recognised professional Qualification relevant to family work
- Functional Family Therapy Experience and Training
- Willing to work hours that are best suited to families
- 5 years’ experience of working with families
