About the role

Merrimans House is a CQC registered respite service in Hillingdon for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. We provide a warm, caring and stimulating environment in which our service users are able to relax, have fun, develop skills and achieve maximum quality of life, whilst their families and carers have a break.

We are recruiting to a Night Care Worker part time vacancy working 20 hours per week spread over 2 nights per week plus meetings. You will be required to work on a rota, covering 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The salary advertised will be pro-rated.

About you

The role involves responsibility for the night-time care and support of up to 9 service users in line with their personalised care plans. You will be working alongside the other Night Care Workers on a rota basis, within a team of daytime Care Workers and Team Leaders. You will ensure a high quality service is provided in line with the essential standards of care, and will ensure that our service-users receive guidance and support to encourage their intellectual, emotional and social development.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will engage effectively with service users. You will be committed to treating service-users with dignity and respect in all aspects of support you provide. Previous experience of working with people with learning and/or physical disabilities is essential for this role.
