ELECTORAL SERVICES SUPPORT OFFICER

Scale 3 £22,369 - £24,496 per annum

Permanent

Do you want to work at the heart of our democracy? Are you ready for your next challenge?

We are looking for someone to join our small Electoral Services team to provide key administrative and customer service support to maintain the electoral register. You will also play an important role in the delivery of elections and referendum in our area.

As we prepare to implement changes from the Elections Act 2022, including the introduction of Voter I.D, this is an exciting time to join Blaby and to shape the delivery of our service going forward.

To thrive in this role, you will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn. You should have an eye for detail and the ability to take initiative. At peak election times you must be willing to work flexibly and go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines.

Job Description & Person Specification

This is a politically restricted position; the successful candidate will be giving advice on a regular basis to the Council and/or any Committee and/or Sub-Committee/Joint Committee.  This means that that individual appointed to the role is prevented from having any active political role either in or outside the workplace.

Benefits of working with us include a local government pension scheme, exciting career opportunities, flexible working including a flexi-time scheme and out of town offices with free car parking and cycle bays. To find out more, click on the link Employee benefits
