Liverpool City Council is looking to recruit Careline Customer Service Advisors. The Careline Service is the Social Care Contact Centre function for Liverpool City Council’s Adult and Children’s Services, providing a dedicated set of services targeted at the most vulnerable members of the community. It is the front door to Liverpool City Council Social Care Services acting as a central point of contact for referrals and enquiries in relation to Children and Adult Social Care needs 24x7x365 days a year.
The Careline Service provides information, advice, signposting and referrals to customers and professionals during core hours as well as a seamless Out-of-Hours social work service. To best provide support for our customers whoever they may be, we’re looking for exceptional people with a flair for putting people at their ease (including customers with sensory or mental impairments) to join us.
Individuals must be able to demonstrate resilience, commitment, an ability to build rapport and develop relationships with a wide range of people and to deal with difficult situations in a supportive and professional manner. You will have relevant or similar experience of dealing with customers from a wide range of backgrounds either in a face to face or contact centre environment.
The Careline Service delivers services to people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and therefore if you speak a second language this would be desirable but is not essential.
Availability to work flexibly between Monday to Sunday including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
