What is the Role

Our Through Care Team 2 works with children seeking asylum and care experienced young people aged 18-25 to support them through to independence or reunification to their families. This is an exciting and privileged opportunity to support children and young people in their plans for permanence and to prepare them for adulthood.

As Team Leader you will be responsible for leading and supporting a mixed pod of Social Worker's and Personal Advisors who will be holding a caseload of young people who we care for, or who are care experienced. You will manage performance, data, and absence, - planning and deploying staff to meet unexpected crisis. You will support staff development and learning through mentoring, direct observations and reflective supervision

You will act as duty manager on a rota and also be responsible for chairing meetings, writing and supporting assessments of risk and support needs and attending groups to represent the service.  You will lead on projects as directed to further service development. 

What you'll need to succeed

Passionate about working with young people, you will be an excellent communicator,  hold a Social Worker qualification as well as being registered with Social Work England.  Through the use of reflective supervision you will be able to support staff to grow and learn whilst coping with competing demands and the stresses that comes with working in a busy environment.
