‘Channel’ is a voluntary, confidential programme which provides support to people who are vulnerable to being drawn into terrorism. It operates across the country through Local Authority-chaired multi-agency panels, and is not any form of criminal or civil sanction. The aim of the programme is to safeguard people from the harm which radicalisation can cause, before they come to harm or become involved in criminal behaviour. Liverpool City Council is looking to recruit a number of people forming a hub of Channel coordinators (LACCs) covering the Channel multi-agency panels in 8 local authorities across Merseyside and Cheshire.
This is a fixed term contract to 30 September 2019
