Elections are a key function at the Council, and you’ll be responsible for assisting in the administration of the electoral process, ensuring that all statutory requirements and performance standards are met.
With your organised and proactive approach, you’ll support the Elections Manager in the planning & delivery of Elections as well as the recruitment & training of all staff working on Elections. You’ll also be comfortable with data and analysis, producing reports for the Electoral Commission and analysis data to improve electoral registration.
Other members of the team will look to you for guidance on a variety of areas, and you’ll also be providing expert advice to internal and external customers in addition to communicating any changes in the Electoral process.
If you have extensive experience in Elections, then you’ll be used to working in a fast paced environment and you’ll be comfortable problem-solving and putting your technical knowledge (AEA Certificate in Electoral Administration) into practice.
This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
