We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to gather and summarise complex information and write in a well-structured way that is easy to understand. You will be able to work well under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. This is a challenging but rewarding role and you will be well supported by colleagues and have access to high quality and ongoing CPD.
This is predominantly an office-based role. A key part of your role will be to coordinate the assessment of, write and review Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will hold a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs and visit schools to meet with parents/carers, young people, schools and other key professionals to coproduce high quality EHC plans. You will monitor and review outcomes and ensure appropriate educational placement and provision for the children and young people on your caseload.
While a background in education, social care or special educational needs are advantageous, they are not essential.
