PO2 - MM1 (£41,793 - £52,493) and MM2 (£50,726 - £64,346) per annum
Fixed Term - 2 Years, Full Time (36 hours)
Enfield Legal Services are expanding and have a number of exciting roles, to complement the existing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for talented and ambitious professionals to join a friendly, committed and highly regarded in-house legal team to help deliver transformational and exciting projects, as well as making a real contribution to the quality of life and sustainability of the borough. We are looking for individuals who are accustomed to working at pace in a busy team.
We work collaboratively and flexibly and welcome applications from all members of the community. We're employers that develop talent, encourage innovation and have a supportive working environment. If you want to be part of our journey, we would love to hear from you. All roles are open to Solicitors, Barristers, Fellows of CILEX, or equivalent and we would consider both part-time and full-time applicants.
The roles will sometimes require working outside normal office hours and cross-working with other teams within the department.
In addition to the General Litigator post, we are also seeking to recruit two housing disrepair lawyers to join the team to work closely with the Housing Department on disrepair work. Both will need to have excellent communication skills and be good at working with clients in a pressurised environment. Both will have experience in dealing with disrepair cases but we would expect the Senior Lawyer to have greater in-depth knowledge in this area and greater breadth of experience. Prior local authority experience is an advantage but not essential. The Senior Lawyer grade includes management or supervisory responsibility for one or more people although management experience is not essential.
The grade at which you will be appointed is dependent on your PQE.
This post is fixed term for up to 2 years but may well continue beyond that.
