An exciting career opportunity has arisen in our Virtual school team for a permanent Virtual School Support Officer (at S01 grade). 

This post will provide general business support to the Virtual School team:

  • To support the Virtual School Head in promoting the education of looked after children and care leavers
  • Data inputting and extraction for the effective management of performance
  • To update the Virtual School’s Management Information System  
  • Making purchases, booking tickets and processing invoices using the internal financial system
  • Designing leaflets, organising events
  • To organise and minute Virtual School Team meetings

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a positive telephone manner
  • Excellent IT skills, in particular MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • The ability to deliver an effective service in a pressurised environment
  • The ability to manage their work in a busy office environment
  • Experience in processing invoices and following financial processes
  • The ability to take initiative and work flexibly
  • Excellent time management skills, including good timekeeping and attendance
  • Excellent customer-service skills, demonstrated to colleagues, internal and external agencies
