We have a exciting new job opportunity that has arisen in Camden Learning Disabilities Service, where you will take responsibility for managing a team of mixed professionals that will deliver high quality, inclusive services, responsive to the needs of people with learning disabilities and the wider community.
You will manage the effective operational delivery of universal and targeted services that supports adults with learning disabilities by managing a team of Social Workers and Access and Support Officers.
You will lead on the implementation of strengths based practice, and work with staff and management colleagues to develop and sustain high quality personal outcomes for people with learning disabilities. You will work with internal and external partners to analyse data to identify need. There will be a need to ensure delivery of evidence-based assessments and interventions to adults with learning disabilities on a group and individual basis, ensuring best practice is developed and maintained.
At all times you will carry out responsibilities with due regard to Camden Council’s Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policies as an integral part of the post.
To be successful, you will have a professional qualification as a Social Worker. You will have experience of leading and managing teams, preferably in a multi-agency environment. You will have excellent communication skills both (verbal and written). You will be flexible around working hours and be able to provide support during out-of-office hours to deal with complex and high risk problems or issues as may arise.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
