We are currently recruiting for a Specialist Occupational Therapist – Integrated Community Equipment. The purpose of the role is to support commissioners and the service provider to maximise cost effectiveness of the Medway Integrated Community Equipment Service contract. The role will impact on the overall cost of the contract by reducing unnecessary expenditure. It will also maximise the effectiveness of the contract by influencing professional prescriber behaviour across health and social care system in Medway.
The post holder will be the key point of reference for operational equipment issues relating to the Medway Integrated Community Equipment Service (MICES) contract, and is jointly accountable to Medway Council and NHS Medway CCG, the holders of the contract.
The role will be a combination of “business as usual” and special projects designed to increase income and reduce cost.
Medway is a unitary authority in the South East of England, made up of the towns of Strood, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham and more rural areas, including the Hoo Peninsula.
