Working at the heart of Ealing Council, this role offers the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to work in a particularly busy and varied role, supporting senior management to deliver the priorities for the Council over the next four years and the aspirations of our transformation programme, Future Ealing.
A central Business Support Hub has been created at Ealing Council, the purpose of which is to embed change and deliver efficient and consistent business support. A key vacancy has arisen in the Hub for an Executive Support Manager working across three Directorates. You will work closely with the three respective Executive Directors to drive service improvements and support delivery of key projects in their departments. You will also manage a team of Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistants. Working closely with the other Executive Support Manager covering Children, Adults and Public Health, you will be a key interface between the corporate centre of the organisation and service areas, helping to drive improved working practices, processes and ways of working.
You will need to manage a busy workload and plan effectively in order to maximise your efficiency towards achieving directorate and corporate objectives. You will also have:
- The ability to create positive and productive relationships with senior council officers, Councillors, partners and stakeholders.
- Experience of driving and prioritising service delivery and improvement with an eye for standardising and improving ways of working.
- Proven track record in managing and supporting the delivery of complex projects.
- Experience in managing staff and in staff recruitment and induction.
Previous Local Government experience would be useful but is not essential.
