Salary £28,551 - £31,515 plus market factor payment of up to £3,000
We have two Social Worker vacancies in our Rapid Response and Assessment Service which is based at Thurrock Community Hospital. As a Social Worker you will be a part of a joint crisis team consisting of social care staff and nurses that work together to provide a rapid assessment and short term social and health care support to Adults aged 18 and over who require immediate social or medical intervention. You will engage with service users, carers, families, professionals and other Adult Social Care Teams within Thurrock Council as well as partner agencies/stakeholders to complete strength based approach social care assessments for those Adults who require a response within 4 days to prevent a crisis and or admission to hospital or residential care.
In addition, you will work closely with our single point of access, Thurrock First, providing advice and support to their team of advisors and working within the multi-professional triage team as required.
As a Social Worker you need to be able to complete high quality assessments within a limited timeframe so you need to be able to manage your time effectively against competing priorities as well as form very quick working relationships with Adults who have care and support needs. To achieve this you need to have skills, knowledge and experience of working in an Adult Social Care Team as a Qualified Social Worker. In return you will have the benefit of working in a highly motivated and dynamic service which will allow you to grow and develop as a professional.
- A Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Certificate at Enhanced level will be required for this post
- As a qualified Social worker you will receive an additional £3,000 market supplement, as well as two incremental salary points for practising AMHP’s.
