The council is introducing a new refuse and recycling contract that includes significant changes to the services provided to residents in the borough. The roll-out of the new service is likely to generate an increased number of enquiries. Your role will be to help the existing administration team respond to these enquiries.
In this role you will provide high quality customer support services to the public covering a number of subject areas focusing on Waste but also including Leisure, Environmental Health and Parking Services. You will also support professional and technical officers from these areas. You will need to undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks including some financial processing using various IT based systems.
Your main responsibilities will include answering telephone enquiries, entering data into a number of systems, preparing service requests and undertaking various administrative tasks and office duties.
Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent, you will have excellent communication skills complemented by office experience in a customer service environment, and typing or word processing standards equivalent to RSA II. It is essential that you are accurate, well organised, and have a customer orientated and flexible approach to work.
