LECTURER/ASSESSOR                                 

For Early Years and Teaching Assistant in Schools

Pro rata salary £20,287.00 - £23,732.00 (including London Allowance), equivalent hourly rate from £21.51 this will be dependent on qualifications on entry and the number of hours lecturing and/or assessing as rates vary.  Hours available range from 4 hours a week upwards and may include evening and weekends. Classes are delivered at a range of venues across the borough.

Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is the local authority’s direct provider of adult education and work-based training. Officially rated as “Good” following our OFSTED inspection in July 2016, we are on a journey to “Outstanding.”

To ensure we are successful in the next stage of our journey we are looking for experienced and qualified subject specialists to become part of our team. We are looking for an Early Years & Teaching Assistant in Schools; lecturer/assessor who is passionate about their subject and can raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring our students.

The role will include the design and delivery of high quality teaching and learning to ensure students achieve their maximum potential and their learning outcomes and to complete work based assessments.

You will need to have a minimum of two years' teaching/assessing experience, relevant subject specific teaching and assessing qualifications and the knowledge and skills to embed English and maths. The role will be across the adult learning service and could include daytime, weekends and/or evenings.

If you have the expertise to help students develop their skills and you are committed to being an outstanding practitioner, focused on achieving the best outcomes for your students then this is the role for you!
