Enfield’s housing stock in unique. Home to 54 high rise tower blocks, more of our residents live in Council owned tower blocks than any other London borough and their safety is a critical priority.
The safety of our communities must lie at the heart of our ambition to serve the whole borough fairly, deliver excellent services and build strong communities and this means engaging and listening to our tenants to inform how we prioritise capital programmes and works.
Our new Resident Safety Programme Director will be Enfield’s ambassador for safety and the Council’s key contact for all of our residents and communities. As well as providing high level advice on fire safety to ensure we deliver over and above statutory requirements, you will prioritise our programme of major works including fire doors and sprinklers.
Your passion for resident engagement and safety will be enhanced by your track record of compliance as a health and safety professional. You could be working for a local authority, registered social housing provider or with organisations managing significant health and safety issues. Whatever your track record, your ability to assess, prioritise risk and deliver improvement programmes - crucially having listened intently to our communities - will give us confidence that we are doing everything we can to keep our residents safe.
