This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the management and maintenance of our beautiful borough's land assets, while also helping to achieve our goal of becoming a Greener West Lancs.
As part of the newly established Technical Services team within Environmental Services, the successful candidate will be actively involved in supporting the delivery of the council's engineering function throughout the Borough. You will be required to plan, implement, and manage programmes of work on small engineering/maintenance schemes together with maintaining council assets including council closed landfill sites, street nameplates, borough signage and bus shelters. You will also be responsible for the inspection of the council's land assets and recording the inspection results.
Applicants should have a relevant degree or an equivalent qualification such as a BTEC Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering with appropriate experience. The ability to travel around the Borough is essential.
