Harlow Playhouse is recruiting a Sound Technician to be part of the technical team assisting in the backstage responsibilities of running this increasingly busy venue. This role involves Lighting, Sound, Stage Management and Flying with an emphasis on Sound to support our varied programme.
Responsible to the Technical Manager, duties will include maintaining backstage areas and equipment, operating sound, liaising with incoming companies and organisations, assisting get-ins and get-outs and the smooth running of performance. This is a key role in the venue and a great opportunity for candidates who wish to develop their skills whilst working in a creative and diverse presenting house with a wide-ranging programme.
Knowledge of technical theatre is required for this role and the ideal candidate will have experience using digital consoles, networking and be able to rig and cable small scale band/musical set ups.
