About the role
Manor Primary School is a large two form entry school in Uckfield. We have a fantastic group of children who come to our school, a large and welcoming staff team and a supportive wider school community. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join us in Year 5. Teaching Assistants at Manor are an integral part of the teaching team in each year group. We are looking for someone who really enjoys working with children and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be someone who is able to follow direction from the class teacher, be keen to learn, proactive and able to use their own initiative. They will be committed to developing positive relationships with children and colleagues. Throughout the day, you will support the whole class, lead interventions working with small groups or individuals, as well as preparing resources. You should have good literacy and maths skills. Above all you will be patient, kind and really care about making a contribution to the school life of our pupils.
The hours will be close to 18 hours per week from Monday to Thursday. Working patterns to be discussed at interview.
