Lancaster City Council is recruiting for a Cook to work at the award-winning Salt Ayre Leisure.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join an enthusiastic and passionate catering team at the award winning Refuel Café at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre.
We are looking for an experienced Cook who is looking for their next challenge to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will have experience in working in a busy kitchen environment, with the ability to work under pressure and deliver great food. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person who is prepared to go the extra mile and deliver excellent customer service.
You must be able to prepare fresh dishes for an exciting and diverse range of customers in a fast paced kitchen and to a high standard. It is essential that you understand and can implement the safer food, better business legislation and you are familiar with stock rotation, control and ordering.
There will be an expectation that you will provide a front of house service in addition to making dishes to the correct specification, preparing high quality hot beverages and becoming a vital team member in our award-winning café.
The hours of work are 37 a week. You will be working on a shift rota basis to include weekends. This post is permanent.
