Occupational Therapist Practice Manager
£41,847 pa - £44,691 pa

We are recruiting a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist Practice Manager to join our team of committed and passionate OT’s. You will be a key member of the management structure in the Enablement Team, supporting the team to deliver high quality, progressive and innovative services.

You will be required to be flexible and offer OT advice and supervision across the wider Adult Social Care pathway on occasions.

The Enablement Service comprises of a Registered Manager Senior Enablers and Enablers, Social Care Officers, OT and social work, who together enable customers to maximise their independence, and regain choice and control: key to supporting the prevention agenda.

As Occupational Therapists we have a strong focus on supporting customers to maximise their independence and safety in their home environment. We offer a personalised, asset-based approach with our customers and carers at the heart of decision-making. The OT Practice Manager will be a core Enablement team member and will work collaboratively with the service in assessment and goal planning which are integral to customers achieving personalised outcomes. We have a history of strong collaborative working with our health partners which further supports our commitment to providing joined up service provision.

Interviews will be held week commencing 1st October 2018.

You will be forward thinking, highly motivated with a strong desire to deliver high quality interventions and display a positive "can do" approach. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will inspire others and be essential to your successful appointment, helping you build internal and external relationships essential to bring about positive outcomes for our customers. You will require experience working in Adult Social Care, management experience and up-to-date knowledge of relevant best practice, legislation, guidance and regulations.

We will support your development and offer on-going learning and development opportunities together with regular supervision and performance appraisal. Our monthly OT Peer Learning is a supportive forum to enable you share and learn together with your peers.

As an OT you will have an excellent understanding of enablement, but in addition you should have experience of working with complex needs that have required a high degree of problem solving, provision of major adaptations and strong skills in Assisting and Moving risk assessment.
