We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Officer to join the Admin Hub Team.
You will be required to provide a full range of administrative duties and support functions to the Care Management Teams within adult social care.
You will have excellent communications skills as you will have direct and indirect contact with internal and external professionals and members of the public alike.
You will have proven minute taking skills as you will be arranging meetings and attending to take minutes. You will have experience in financial tasks as you will be responsible for making purchases, raising orders and reconciling.
You will be motivated to work alone using your own initiative, with the ability to prioritise your work and manage your time effectively whilst also being able to work as part of a team. The team is also there to support you.
You will need to remain calm, efficient and professional when under pressure with changeable priorities, deadlines and expectations.
The Isle of Wight Council is fully equipped with technology to provide face to face and online tools for a hybrid working environment. For this reason, the post holder is required to be fully versed in Microsoft 365 and have the confidence to learn internal applications. You will work from County Hall and agile working locations.
You will have the opportunity to share your skills and experiences to help develop and review processes and keep them up to date with changing times and technology improvements.
