An exciting opportunity has arisen to be the Assistant Director of Highways and Parking at Waltham Forest Council in London.
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated officer with a demonstrable commitment to top quality services, with relevant qualifications and/or experience
The successful candidate will have a leading part to play in delivering high quality services to help tackle the climate emergency. This is a pivotal role to enhance the look and feel of the borough and build on the “Enjoy Waltham Forest Programme” and deliver major projects to promote active travel.
The Assistant Director is a key role with responsibility for Active Travel, Highways, Traffic Management and Parking Enforcement. These services are key in the drive to deliver our 15 minute Neighbourhood, and also delivering on local priorities for Councillors and residents.
We want our new Assistant Director to be someone that can continue to establish the right culture and ethos across our services; work in partnership and has the ability to sustain the pace of change that our Council’s ambitions demand. You’ll need to be a positive, progressive, goal-oriented, problem solver with the kind of credibility that comes from having improved the effectiveness and efficiency of other large departments.
