Barnsley youth justice Service is seeking a highly experienced and proven achiever to drive our agenda of continuous service improvement and preparation of inspection.

As a Quality Assurance and Governance Officer you will play a key part in the development and implementation of the Quality Assurance Framework within the service.  You will lead and support a range of quality assurance activities, including performance data and case file auditing and themed ‘deep dives’, producing and presenting written reports of findings and key messages and supporting continuous service development and improvement, achieving the very best outcomes for children and families.

In addition, you will work directly with the service manager and operational management team in preparation for and eventual learning from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probation (HMIP) and other inspection activity.  You will have a responsibility for the collation and maintenance of a plethora of evidence and work hard to ensure the service is in an ongoing state of preparedness.

To join us, you’ll need to be educated to degree level, have an understanding of quality assurance and service improvement methods and be passionate about making a valuable contribution to achieving the very best outcomes for children and families.

A knowledge and understanding of youth justice practice is desirable but not essential-the ability to work forensically and analytically both in isolation and part of a team is!
