Scale 1/2 – (from £16,394 per annum)
We have an opportunity for two highly motivated individuals to join a small team of caretakers working within the Housing Department. This post is offered on a full-time basis of 37 hours per week worked Monday to Friday.
The post holders will provide a caretaking/cleaning service on all Council Housing estates with the objective of keeping public spaces safe, tidy and free of debris.
Applicants should be numerate and literate and must have basic experience of property maintenance. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Previous experience of dealing with customers would be an advantage. You should be able to work on your own initiative and work successfully as part of a team.
The role involves manual work and will include some heavy lifting. A current full UK driving licence is essential.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.
The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
