 Ashfield District Council is seeking to appoint an Anti-Social Behaviour and Nuisance Officer who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of cases related to anti-social behaviour, nuisance and environmental related issues across the district.

Working face to face with residents, the successful candidates will:

  • Undertake detailed investigations, gather evidence, take statements, conduct interviews, prepare case files and provide evidence for court.
  • Communicate effectively with victims and complainants of Anti-Social Behaviour, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a victim centred approach.
  • Complete ASB Risk assessments, safeguarding referrals and submit information to partner agencies.
  • Be able to make effective and timely decisions when faced with risk and emerging issues to ensure positive case progression.
  • Work in partnership and provide innovative solutions to tackle a wide variety of individual and community problems.

We are looking for a committed individual with a high level of emotional intelligence and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You will need to be able to knock on doors and serve enforcement notices, effectively deal with challenging behaviors and diffuse situations that potentially may become volatile.

*The post holder will be required to undertake Police Vetting*
