Licensing Admin Officer - Range A (£21,189 - £24,081)

  • Do you want a job that is both interesting and challenging?
  • Are you highly motivated, focused, with good attention to detail?
  • Are you flexible with plenty of initiative and ideas for service improvements?
  • Do you want to be a part of a friendly/helpful team?
  • Do you want to enhance your skills as a Licensing Practitioner?

If the answer is “Yes”, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Licensing Team is looking for you!

Kensington and Chelsea is a vibrant place to live and work with a diverse community and rich cultural heritage. As a small inner-London borough situated to the west of the capital, we have excellent transport links and a vast array of businesses and services for visitors and residents to enjoy. In order to meet all of the challenges that this presents we need to recruit an outstanding officer who will help us look after over 1000 licensed premises.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to carry out a wide range of administrative and financial tasks, give advice to residents and businesses and participate in other licensing work. We need a person who is keen to get involved in all aspects of our work and who will be able to make a valuable contribution to the team.  Previous licensing experience and possession of the Licensing/Gambling Practitioners qualification or other relevant qualification would be advantageous for this post.

We have a high commitment to Customer Care so it is important that you have excellent communication skills and the ability to organise and manage your own workload. You should also be able to work as part of a team, and possess good IT skills.

Closing date for the return of completed application forms is 16 September 2018.  CVs will not be considered acceptable. Interviews will be held during the week commencing 24 September 2018.

For an informal discussion about the above post, please contact Patrick Crowley, Bi-Borough Licensing Manager on 020 7341 5601.
