As part of the vision we have undertaken a major restructure of the Planning and Regeneration Services and are currently recruiting to a number of new and exciting posts. The reorganisation of the service area enables the potential for career development and progression as we grow our team.
About the Role
This role is key to the delivery of the Council’s strategic corporate priorities. Working for us you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for our residents, by ensuring that all building work taking place in an area of the borough complies with the Building Regulations and allied legislation. You will support the Building Control team to oversee building works undertaken, manage building regulation contraventions and dangerous structures. You will also provide advice to customers and partners relating to the Building Control function.
This is likely to be your first or second role in a Building Control environment and you will have plenty of opportunity to hone your skills managing case work to a high standard and helping to deliver the priorities of the Planning and Building Control service.
