Wakefield Council has a reputation for delivering successful energy efficiency and fuel poverty schemes and initiatives. This work is a fundamental part of the Council's strategic objectives to reduce fuel poverty, improve energy efficiency and stimulate sustainable local growth. 

An opportunity has arisen for a person with a passion and a keen interest in these issues to guide and drive forward the Council's energy and growth programmes. 

A proven track record of successful team leadership is essential for this role, along with experience of strategy and policy development and scheme and contract delivery. 

A knowledge and experience of programme and project management and scheme delivery in an energy efficiency, regeneration or housing role is essential. 

You will have the ability to innovate and setup new partnerships and coordinate and monitor programme, project and scheme delivery. 

You will also be able to motivate and inspire a team, partners and contractors to achieve high performance standards. 

Reporting to the Team Leader, Housing Policy and Energy, the post is located in the Strategic Housing service.
