Commissioner (Mental Health)

We now have an opportunity for an experienced Commissioner within the Collaborative Commissioning team (Mental Health & Learning Disability). The role will take a lead on the commissioning of a range of services within the mental health portfolio, working with Clinical Commissioning Group colleagues when appropriate, as well as working on various elements of our joint mental health strategy and reprocurement of Supported Living arrangements.

The post holder will support the Joint Associate Director Collaborative Commissioning to deliver improved outcomes for our residents through leading and managing commissioning in the portfolio area; this will include contract management, performance management and service redesign.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with proven commissioning experience in a relevant health or social care field to undertake the whole of the commissioning cycle. The postholder must have significant experience of working across organisational boundaries, liaising with both internal and external partners and bringing about improvements in service delivery through commissioning.
As this is an important and challenging role with an expectation of fast paced delivery, candidates must be able to demonstrate commissioning experience in mental health or a closely related field.
