About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the family matters service as a family support worker. You must be able to work across the Wirral and with children 0-19 years using a whole family approach. 

In this role, you will be working predominantly within the level three continuum of need, however there will be a requirement to work at level four on the continuum of need alongside Childrens social care as we try to provide continuity for families if they require statutory services.

There are lots of opportunities to develop professionally and we are always looking to identify areas of interest for staff and provide support so you can gain valuable experience.

About the candidate:

The successful candidate must have a passion for working with children and families, have a proven track record of delivering high quality innovative interventions that support our children and families in Wirral.

You will have a good understanding of the variety of tools and interventions we use to assess risk, elicit the DLE of individuals and monitor our outcomes. You must have experience of working with complex and hard to reach families and have the ability to engage them.

Good working knowledge of the I.T. systems we use is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. Candidates must be professionally curious, reflective, passionate about improving the lives of the families they are working with and have the ability to work as part of a team and independently using your own initiative. 

There are 4 posts available in this role x 36.00 hours a week.
