Hertfordshire County Council is working with five boroughs and districts to develop new and innovative ways to promote independence and help residents remain in their homes. Our Home Improvement Agency is looking for an Operations Manager to join the team to develop the service.
The Agency is focused on providing excellent customer care and developing innovative ways of promoting wellbeing. If you have a strong technical background, and an understanding of best practice in delivering home adaptations and related services then we can offer you the chance help lead and develop the service.
We are looking for a strong manager, able to juggle a demanding and varied workload. Reporting to the head of service the successful candidate will need excellent budget management and people skills as well as the ability to manage caseloads and contractors effectively.
You will ideally be an experienced chartered building surveyor, occupational therapist, or have a strong back ground in aids and adaptations or housing improvement and be able to work effectively with a variety of contractors and occupational therapists. You should have a good knowledge of Building Regulations, including Part M.
You will be responsible for overseeing improvements and adaptations to homes, monitoring contractors during the work in progress stage and ensuring clients are satisfied with the quality of completed works. You should be confident negotiating with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for our clients.
